What is EmpowerHER Month?
EmpowerHer Month is a radiant celebration of imagination, leadership, and limitless potential. Created by The LuminaVine Foundation, this global movement uplifts girls ages 10 to 17 and ignites their passion for STEAM—Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.
For 40 transformative days, participants dive into hands-on competitions, inspiring mentorships, dynamic workshops, and a powerful bond of sisterhood. With every challenge they embrace and every idea they spark, these future trailblazers unlock their creativity, strengthen their confidence, and begin shaping the world they envision.
Their journey isn’t just about learning. It’s about becoming.

Choose Your EmpowerHER Pathway
EmpowerHER Month is designed to meet you where your passions are. Each participant will select up to 3 STEAM pathways that match their interests, dreams, and talents.
Your pathway selections will determine the focus of your Preliminary Power Prompt, so choose the areas you’re most excited to explore. This allows your EmpowerHer journey to be personalized, meaningful, and challenging in all the right ways.

EarthKeepers: Science for Planet & People
Where science meets sustainability and responsibility.
This pathway is for girls passionate about the environment, social justice, and building a better future for the planet. Dive into topics like environmental justice, climate change, biodiversity, food equity, and clean water access. Projects might include eco-friendly inventions, public awareness campaigns, or science-based storytelling that inspires action in local and global communities.

CodeMakers: Digital Futures & Tech for Good
Building the future through creativity and code.
This is for problem-solvers who want to create digital solutions for real-world challenges. You’ll explore coding, AI, app development, and technology designed to help underserved communities. Projects might include designing apps, building websites, developing tech-based services, or crafting digital tools that make a difference in people’s lives.

SheBuilds: Engineering, Innovation & Systems
Inventive minds solving the world’s biggest puzzles.
This pathway is for girls who love to build, tinker, and design new systems. Explore engineering challenges, infrastructure design, and product innovation. Projects might include prototypes, model-building, or creating new tools that solve practical problems in society, from renewable energy solutions to accessible tech devices.

ExpressHER: Storytelling, Writing & Communication
Where every word builds a legacy.
This is for the writers, speakers, poets, and communicators who want to change the world through language. You’ll focus on powerful storytelling, persuasive communication, and media for change. Projects may include essays, blogs, digital storytelling, spoken word poetry, public speeches, scripts, or podcasts that challenge ideas and inspire new ones.

Artivistas: Visual Expression & Creative Movement
Art as activism, culture, and connection.
This pathway invites girls to use creativity as a tool for change. Whether through visual art, music, dance, fashion, film, or digital media, you’ll create projects that reflect identity, celebrate culture, and address justice. Projects might include advocacy art, performances, creative exhibits, or multimedia showcases with a powerful message.

Your EmpowerHER Month Journey
EmpowerHER Month is more than just a challenge; it's a transformational journey where girls don't just learn, they innovate. They'll cultivate crucial real-world skills and unleash their potential to create meaningful solutions that truly make a difference, setting the stage for them to become the confident, capable leaders of tomorrow. This is their moment to shine, to lead, and to empower themselves and others for a brighter future.

Preliminary Round: The Power Prompt
On March 2, 2026, you’ll receive the Preliminary Power Prompt, a creative global challenge designed to match your selected STEAM pathways.
Submissions are due by March 14, 2026.
Purpose of the Preliminary Round:
-
Kickstart creative problem-solving
-
Explore real-world issues in your chosen pathway
Your Power Prompt response will kick off your EmpowerHer journey.
You’ll begin as a Dreamer—someone who imagines bold, limitless ideas.
As the month goes on, you’ll progress through new stages of growth, each building on the last.
By the end of EmpowerHer Month, you won’t just have one role you’ll have experienced them all, from Dreamer to Inspirer.
The 6-Tier EmpowerHer Competition Stages
During EmpowerHer Week (March 30 – April 3, 2026), selected participants will advance through our six-stage global challenge journey

Dreamers
Every great journey begins with a dream. In the Dreamer stage, you’ll allow your mind to wander freely, exploring ideas that excite, inspire, and challenge the status quo. This is your time to think without limits. What change do you wish to see in the world? What problems do you care about solving? As a Dreamer, you’re encouraged to imagine futures where innovation, equity, creativity, and courage are possible. You’ll brainstorm, vision board, mind-map, and let curiosity lead the way. No idea is too bold. Dream big, because your ideas are the seeds of tomorrow’s breakthroughs.
Thinkers
Dreams become powerful when they’re paired with understanding. In the Thinker stage, you’ll take your big ideas and begin to ask deeper questions. What’s at the root of the challenge you’ve chosen? How have others approached it before? What solutions have worked and what gaps still exist? This stage is about research, exploration, and analysis. You’ll gather information, talk to experts (or imagine what they might say), and think critically about how your vision can truly make a difference. Thinkers are detectives, philosophers, and strategists. Your role is to examine the world as it is, so you can help build the world as it should be.

Creators
Ideas only create impact when they are built into something real. As a Creator, you’ll take your brainstorms and transform them into action. Whether you’re coding an app, designing a prototype, writing a proposal, creating a piece of art, or developing a social impact plan. This is the phase where your hands, heart, and mind work together to bring your project to life. You’ll experiment, sketch, model, and construct. This stage is about creativity and craftsmanship. You’ll face challenges, but you’ll also experience the joy of turning imagination into innovation.
Challengers
The strongest ideas are the ones that can be tested, questioned, and improved. As a Challenger, you’ll step into the role of a leader who isn’t afraid to seek feedback and face constructive critique. You’ll present your initial solutions to peers, mentors, or community members, learning how to explain your ideas clearly and confidently. This stage is about courage! The courage to admit what isn’t working yet, and the wisdom to revise and grow. You’ll adjust your designs, rethink your strategies, and refine your work, knowing that innovation is a process, not a single moment.

Innovators
Innovation happens when ideas are not just created, but completed with purpose. As an Innovator, you’ll finalize your project and prepare it for real-world application. This might mean polishing your presentation, solidifying your proposal, fine-tuning your model, or testing your solution in different scenarios. You’ll think about sustainability, ethics, and real-life impact. How can your project help others? Who will it benefit? What future steps can you take beyond this program? This phase is about moving from concept to action and turning your hard work into something that has the power to create lasting change.
Inspirers
The final stage of your journey is about sharing, celebrating, and empowering others. As an Inspirer, you’ll present your project to the EmpowerHer community—and possibly to the world. You’ll tell the story of your process: your challenges, your breakthroughs, your lessons learned. You’ll highlight your solution, but more importantly, you’ll show how young leaders like you can drive change. This is your chance to ignite new ideas in others and spark a ripple effect of creativity, courage, and leadership. Remember: when you share your journey, you inspire the next generation of Dreamers, Thinkers, Creators, Challengers, Innovators, and Inspirers.

Final Presentations & Awards
On April 10, 2026, the EmpowerHER Month journey concludes with a Global Closing Ceremony, where finalists will present their projects, receive awards, and be recognized for their leadership and innovation.
All participants will receive certificates and become part of the EmpowerHER Trailblazer Network.
